home.swipnet.se Skiing season soon… Yoga has a wealth of balance exercises! These look neither very easy nor fotogenique, but they develop one’s awareness and balance: 2- leg Downward dog, Ardha chandrasana/half-moon, Svarga dvidasana/bird of paradise, Garudasana/eagle, Vasithasana/side plank, Urdhva prasarita ekapadasana/standing split. A good pre-season prep off-the-slopes, but a bit too hard to exhausted legs after a great skiing day. Demo in Sweden; Reg. Yoga Teacher, 30+ yrs. of yoga exp. Music, to get “in the mood”: Winter ;-) by Antonio Vivaldi. DISCLAIMER: No liability. Remember repeated patient training without pushing yourself – always ADJUST asanas to the current strengths and weaknesses of your own body and ask your teacher for simplified versions of asanas.
